We went back for dinner a second time just three days later, and both meals were outstanding. The food, family, and atmosphere were all amazing. It was the culinary highlight of our time in Brazil.

We stayed from 02/01/25 to 07/01, and the days flew by so fast I wish they'd been about 39 hours long, haha. Chef Mauro, his wife, and their daughter Isabela made my family and me feel at home from the very first minute. Isabela was attentive and helpful about every detail, and the meals were incredible. Choose lunch or dinner, but make sure to try the dishes, they're made with so much love. I honestly couldn't find a single thing to take points off for. We already miss everyone and next time we'll bring even more of the family. This inn could easily be called my home. ❤️

Being a little way from the center, near Praia Rasa, suited me well. I wanted quiet and it stayed peaceful, so it was the right choice for me. The rooms are pleasant, quiet, and air conditioned. There's an outdoor pool and a children's pool, a garden, free Wi-Fi and parking, and daily housekeeping. The breakfast spread includes juice, cake, different fruits, eggs, pão de queijo, coffee, and delicious tapioca. Chef Mauro, a former chef in a well-known hotel chain, makes wonderful custom dishes with fresh ingredients and care. Cleane and Isabela are incredibly hospitable, and made us feel at home instead of like we were staying at an inn. A lovely food retreat in Búzios, with delicious personalized cooking and a clean, cozy setting.

We had such wonderful days at Pousada Recanto do Chef. The place is beautiful, and Chef Mauro always makes the best food. The whole family is attentive to what you need, and before long you feel like part of them. It's set back from the mainland, which makes it a good choice if you want a break from Buzios noise. A car is best for getting around. Without one, you'd need Uber or the vans that pass about eight blocks away. Thanks to everyone for sharing those lovely days with us.

Chef Mauro's food was the standout for me. You can taste the care in every dish, and the flavors are incredible. The seasonings are grown right at the inn, and the presentation catches your eye straight away. The whole team was lovely, always smiling and ready to help, and the inn itself felt so cozy and homey. I'm already looking forward to returning to this little paradise.
