Petra found us a great driver for the trip back to Rio almost immediately, and she also shared plenty of useful tips for restaurants, hikes, and nice beaches. My partner and I can’t wait to return to Villa Balthazar. It’s a quiet, luxurious little pearl in Buzios, with Petra and her team taking such good care of you. The homemade breakfast was refined and delicious, the room had tasteful decorative touches, and the bed was more than comfortable. You could tell they’d thought about every detail.

Quiet, homely, and hospitable, and a perfect fit for our family. Breakfast was incredible, and the rooms were spacious and clean. Paula, Petra, and Felix were both professional and personable. The hospitality and attention to detail beat any hotel.

The location worked perfectly for us, close to both the beach and the center of Bouzio. The owners and staff were warm and helpful, and breakfast was wonderful, the best! We had a great stay and can highly recommend booking here.

We loved Petra and Felix's place and hope we can go back someday. The room was comfortable, with high standard furniture and a nicely detailed design. Breakfast was incredible, mostly homemade, and one of the best I’ve had. Since we came to buzios without a car, being quiet and close to both the beach and center was ideal.

I ended up staying an extra day, five in total, just so I could enjoy the place more. As a solo female traveller, alone in Brazil for the first time, Petra’s warm welcome put me at ease and made me feel almost like part of the family. She couldn’t do enough for me. It really felt like a home away from home: a big room with a cosy sitting area, quirky details and special touches, plus a great location close to everything. The breakfast was the best I’ve ever had. Villa Balthazar is hard to beat for price and quality, and the wifi is excellent. I’d highly recommend it.
