Pousada Surf Coruja

The hosts were super friendly and attentive, and we were very well looked after. It's a clean, cozy place that feels great for families. My one suggestion would be to replace the white towels and sheets. We had a great stay, and I'll definitely come back! 💕🇦🇷

The hosts were very friendly and treated us well, and the shared area with the pool was nice. But we barely slept because we could hear rats in the ceiling, and there was quite a lot of rat droppings on the bedside table. That was awful, made us question the cleanliness of the whole pousada, and we could hardly bring ourselves to have breakfast the next morning. The bathroom toilet had very little flushing power too. We had to flush again and again, and it still wasn't enough, so we literally had to leave waste in the bowl. Even allowing for it being high season, the experience made the price feel completely unjustified. I've stayed in much better places for the same amount.

The room was very basic, but clean and fair for the nightly rate. It's a simple pousada, and we had no problems. My wife and I were welcomed warmly, and the owner checked every day to see if we needed anything. Breakfast was simple but great. It's about a 10-minute walk to Geriba and Manguinhos beaches, the Extra market, and McDonald's.

It's a cute, simple place, though I found it small, and the location is good. The breakfast was basic but good. Still, for what they charge per night, I expected better. The bathroom wall was crumbling, and a piece of tile fell on my foot. The owner was rude when I rang the bell twice, saying she'd heard me the first time and I didn't need to keep pressing it. How was I supposed to know she was on her way? At the very least, they need an intercom. It left a lot to be desired.
