Joe and Marcia were so accommodating and really nice people. Bella Vida was one of the most wonderful places I’ve stayed, and the whole experience in Arraial d'Ajuda was amazing. You don’t really need a car: it’s a seven-to-eight-minute walk through nature from the pousada (hotel) to the center. I saw horses walking or running past, maybe a few owls and colorful birds, and some very friendly dogs. The town center has local live music almost every night. Those Brazilians can really play, with popular American and English songs as well as Brazilian favorites. Walking through Arraial d'Ajuda felt like arriving in OZ, where Dorothy arrives in the wizard of Oz. Even just strolling the streets is fascinating. The beaches and nearby villages and towns are breathtaking. For Porto Seguro’s old city and its alcohol walking street, you can walk to the center and catch a bus to a balsa, a small boat that goes back and forth between Arraial d'Ajuda and Porto Seguro. It’s so peaceful, especially at night when it cools down. There are so many places to explore each day. I had an amazing time at Bella Vida and will be back soon!

My two teenage daughters and I had a wonderful stay. The owner, Márcia, was friendly, warm, and polite, and helped us with all our questions. Cleberson was very cordial and kind as well. We came by bus and got around on foot. The pousada is close to the center, and the little field we passed was very peaceful in the mornings and at night. It’s across from the famous Rua Mucuge and the viewpoint, where the church with the ribbons has a beautiful view of Praia do Pescador. If you don’t have a car, getting around is easy, with vans and buses passing every minute.

We had a great few days here. The inn was cozy and very clean, and the manager was a really nice person who gave us some great tips for outings. This is already our third visit, and we’ll definitely come back again. Thank you so much.
