Pousada Beijo do Vento

Pousada Beijo do Vento is a beautiful place with an incredible view. We picked a sea-view room with an outdoor hot tub. The pictures online had already won me over, and we wanted to celebrate our 10th civil wedding anniversary and our church wedding, which had been the day before. We'd planned it with lots of care and high hopes, so it was disappointing that the hot tub wouldn't heat because a part had burned out or was defective. Camila and the team did their best to make up for the trouble, and we got a refund for the difference between our room and the sea-facing room without the hot tub. We suggested keeping spare parts in stock for quick repairs, so other couples don't run into the same problem. The stay wasn't perfect, but the room really does have an unreal view. It was clean, the bed with its pillow top was very comfortable, and the pillows and linens smelled fresh. Our room didn't have the musty smell mentioned in some Maps reviews. The shower had strong pressure and hot water. The Wi-Fi was poor, so we couldn't connect any streaming service on the TV and watched on our 5G instead. Breakfast was wonderful and everything tasted great. The natural yogurt with yellow-fruit jam and granola was especially good, made with lots of care by Dina, Telma, and Sara. Ricardo gave us a very good welcome at check-in in the middle of the night, and Lauro, the guy at the bar, and Camila were all great too. It's a really beautiful place, very close to Rua do Mucugê.

I'm in love with this place, especially the suite with the outdoor hot tub. Every minute at this pousada felt worth it. The service was great, everyone was so polite, and breakfast was perfect. The view is like a work of art, and in person it's a thousand times more beautiful. I'll definitely come back. This place has a spot in my heart! ❤️❤️

Two stars only for the view and for Camila's kindness and politeness. A good stay needs more than a friendly host or pretty scenery, though, so I can't recommend this pousada. The mold problem is serious, as other reviews have said. I'm allergic, and both nights I woke up in the middle of the night struggling to breathe because of the smell. The photos show how much water damage there is in the room I was given. There aren't enough outlets for charging a phone or using a computer. Breakfast really was sparse, limited, and poorly served. For a pousada charging over R$ 700,00 a night, the experience falls far short in several ways and isn't worth the price, especially when there are much better and cheaper places nearby. Getting around is also difficult if you don't have a car. It's close to the main street and beach access, but surrounded by very steep hills, which makes walking hard for children, older people, and anyone with a physical condition.
