Pousada Estresse Zero

The room at Estresse Zero was really spacious, with air conditioning, a bathroom, and room to put our things. Breakfast was made fresh by Leudi, who runs the pousada and is such a lovely person. She even found me a quad bike at the last minute when I nearly missed my boat back. I also recommend the family's restaurant, Estresse Zero, run by Lu and Paulo on Atins beach. Wonderful food right by the river and sea.

It's a simple, rustic place, and Deuli welcomed us warmly. She helped arrange our arrival transport, which cost 20 reais per person from the outer port, shared information about tour agencies, and booked our speedboat back to Barreirinhas. The bathroom has no electric shower or shower enclosure, so everything gets wet after bathing and the floor turns into a rather unpleasant muddy mess. The water was genuinely cold during the day, and the flow was weak. There's no bathroom window either. Breakfast is basic, with couscous, tapioca, and eggs made to order. On our departure day, Deuli moved breakfast earlier so we wouldn't board the boat hungry. Thanks for all the care.

The location is excellent if you're on foot, with everything close by and no need to pay for a quad taxi. But for what the inn offers, I found the price high: two nights cost 900 reais, the cheapest option. It's a very simple pousada, just as the photos on Booking show. Our room had no minibar, and the bathroom gets completely wet when you shower. A lot of mosquitoes also came in through the bathroom window, which has no glass. I'd suggest adding mosquito netting to help people sleep, since they get into the room.

A really charming, peaceful, pretty pousada. The service was attentive, the rooms were clean and tidy, and there are lots of lovely little corners to relax in. Well worth it!
