Prainha Apart Hotel

I paid R$216.00 for one night, from 7/01/2025 to 8/01/2025, at this inn right by the beach in Baía de Traição. The stay left a lot to be desired. The towels had stains, some dining room windows were broken, and there was a constant leak from the flush in room 206 into the toilet. The chandeliers had lots of cobwebs, and the pictures on the walls throughout the property were covered in dust. The place needs a thorough cleaning. I'd read several reviews praising breakfast, so maybe my timing was unlucky. There were only eggs and sausage, plain tapioca, couscous, a small sandwich with a piece of cheese, tomato and lettuce, and a cake. There was one flask each of coffee and milk, a pitcher of juice, and pineapple and melon as the only fruit. In João Pessoa, I've found stays for the same price or less with a much wider breakfast spread, including hot dishes, breads, pastries, juices, yogurt, cakes, cold cuts, and fruit. I travel three or four times a year, and only chose this inn because it was the only place with a vacancy. Now I understand why. I didn't take photos because I was in town to sort out a family matter and was short on time. I hope they address these issues and improve.

The staff were very friendly, and the bed was comfortable, but the accommodation was still really poor. The rooms are a good size, yet they're badly looked after and feel shabby. Everything seems improvised, with little attention to making the space welcoming or attractive. It wasn't actually dirty, but the lack of care made it look that way. I noticed some rooms were being renovated, so maybe the newer ones are in better shape. To clarify my earlier comments for management and future guests: my complaint is about the neglected structure and lack of care, not the service. The place has potential, but management isn't making enough of it.

Prainha Apart Hotel feels like a wonderful place to call home. This was my second visit, and this time I stayed for 10 days. The service, welcome, and attention were all excellent. The apartment was clean, and the staff took care of whatever we asked, cleaning and changing towels and sheets when requested. I'll be back soon.

I can only give one star because zero isn't an option. They left me and my five-month-old dog out on the street at half past midnight, with nowhere open to buy water. They turned off the phone, WhatsApp, and reception bell after getting tired of waiting for someone they apparently didn't welcome because I didn't know the city. They never even apologized. They marked it as a no-show on Booking, but I was right below their window. They were the ones who made me wait and then marked me as a no-show. Claiming that I failed to show up is a lie and false representation. I have photos and videos that prove what happened. I had to go all the way to João Pessoa to find somewhere else that would take a pet. It was a traumatizing experience. Their behavior was disgracefully rude, and they had no professionalism representing the inn or Booking. I don't know who runs the place, but they have no business representing the hotel industry. I'm still indignant and shocked by their ridiculous attempts to excuse the inexcusable.
