I’ve traveled to over 50 countries and stayed in plenty of hostels. On this Brazil trip alone, I stayed in more than eight places, and this one was by far the worst for cleanliness and customer service. There were lots of cockroaches in our room, apparently coming from an open sewer nearby, and there was dog poop by the door. Nobody spoke English or even Spanish. We left after several hours for another hotel. The receptionist promised me a full refund, but now the owner is denying it. If you’re expecting to meet friendly backpackers and travelers, think again. Most of the guests there were workers on nearby construction projects. Don’t let their AI-generated response fool you. This place sucks, and they don’t keep their refund promises. You can find a cheaper room in a respectable hotel closer to the beach. Trust me, there’s no reason to visit this hostel.
