Cabanas Hostel & Suites

It was okay.

Great.

The price was affordable and felt fair for what you get. Housekeeping cleaned the room and changed the towels every day, and breakfast was acceptable. Masks were rare to see here, even though guests came from other states. The reception was the worst part. I've never been welcomed so badly on a trip. At places we usually go, receptionists are warm and friendly, but this hostel was a real letdown. One night, when I came back from going out, a woman was sitting on the receptionist's lap. We'd say good morning as we passed and get no answer. The front desk needs a lot of improvement. That's why I gave it a 2. 24/01 to 31/01

For a budget-conscious stay, the price is fair, the service was very good and the location is great. The shower and bed were good, and the hostel is quite large. Parking costs extra, and finding a spot on nearby streets is very difficult. My private room was disappointing, though. It smelled strongly of mold, some of it was even falling from the bathroom ceiling, and the cleaning could have been better. We found a cockroach in the room. The private-room wing gets no fresh air, and the rooms are dark with no sunlight. I didn't see the shared rooms, so I can't say what they're like. A reasonable option if saving money is the priority.
