Hotel das Américas

We left our car with the hotel to park, and when it was returned at checkout the next day, an expensive charger had mysteriously vanished. The room had just one outlet, across from the beds, with none by the bedside tables. We also got watery pineapple juice by the pool. We were there for only one night, but it was enough for things to go missing. I'd strongly recommend parking your own car. We stepped out for lunch while the car stayed in view. Only afterward, when we needed to plug in our phone for directions to our next stop, did we notice the charger was gone. Staff said they'd get back to me or my sister by Monday or Tuesday, and took both our cell numbers, but nobody from the hotel ever contacted us. As the days passed, we checked for other things left in the car and found two hats and a perfume missing too. The situation has worried us, especially since the hotel recently made legal threats over my Google Maps review, which infringe on my constitutional right to freedom of speech. We hope to settle this amicably, but they haven't offered a refund or discount for the trouble. Our belongings didn't leave the vehicle by themselves, and we have no reason to lie. I'm not accusing any particular person.
