We chose from the menu because the buffet didn’t look promising. Dish #458 cost $300, and you could probably split it between four people, but we waited close to an hour. The waiter apologized, though there wasn’t anything he could do. When the food finally arrived it looked great at first, but the rice was hard and undercooked, and the filet mignon was so tough we didn’t eat it. The beans tasted awful, almost as if they’d expired, and the picanha was just as bad. The total bill was $408, basically thrown away. We asked to speak to management to explain what happened, but nobody was available. If you eat here, I’d avoid this dish and go somewhere else or try the beach vendors. This review is about our restaurant experience.

The buffet breakfast and dinner had an excellent range of food, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is great for the price, with amenities to suit both young and old.

A good place for a family stay, especially if you want somewhere quiet. It’s near a good mall, about five minutes away by taxi, though quite far from downtown. The service is good, and breakfast is really nice. The pools are all awesome. The rooms feel a bit dated.

There are plenty of good restaurants nearby, and the hotel is well located on Atlantic Avenue. The staff are polite and capable. My room was clean and good, though not new, and the common areas and pools were clean too. Breakfast was good and varied. I was on the eighth floor and noise wasn’t an issue for me. The showerhead could give a better spray.

It’s the oldest hotel in BC, and the rooms are small, but the view is nice and the staff were very nice all night. Valet parking and good hotel facilities too.
