The restaurant food was fantastic, and I loved the resort-like grounds right in the middle of town. I stayed here as part of a tour with Brasil Planet, and I'm so glad I chose it. The location is great, the hotel is clean, and the service was wonderful. My room was set back from the street, so I didn't find it noisy at night. The pool was clean and lovely, and stayed open until 11 pm. I also loved having hammocks on the terrace where we could relax and read. Highly recommend.

The swimming pool is the only reason I'm giving two stars. A car was parked in front of our apartment when we arrived. We politely asked for it to be moved, but it stayed there for three days. The apartment was full of ants, and staff came in with poison for every room. The Wi-Fi didn't work from the start. On the first day we only had hot water in the shower for a few minutes. We asked politely to change rooms after that first day, but they said no, even though the pousada wasn't fully booked. The AC was very noisy, so we couldn't sleep with it on.

It has a resort feel and spacious rooms. The bed and furniture could use an update. It's close to the town center and the ferry for river cruises.
