We paid in one go because we didn't want to take our frustration out on the staff, who weren't at fault. Afterward, people in town told us this happens with the owner repeatedly. It was disrespectful, and in my view it violated the Consumer Defense Code. When we first talked with the owner, he said he'd offer us a good price, let us pay later, and be there at the end to settle the bill. When checkout came, he wasn't there, and an employee said the owner only accepted full payment, even though we'd agreed on installments. The employee said he was "incommunicable." We kept explaining the agreement, then the employee called him. We stayed on the phone for 20 minutes, but the owner continued to deny agreeing to that payment plan. He never showed up and was rude on the phone. There are already several complaints about him on other sites. It felt like he used smooth talk to string customers along. He is a criminal fraudster.
