Hotel Vale Das Nuvens

There’s plenty of greenery and nature around the hotel, and the setting is beautiful, though you do need to watch out for some large insects. The location is 2 km near the road and close to Guaramiranga. Staff are polite and service is good. The rooms look nice, but my shower had weak flow and the water wasn’t really hot. I’m not sure if that was just an issue in my room. Breakfast is simple, with fruit, bread, cheese, ham, cakes, eggs, and tapioca. The eggs and tapioca were good because they were made fresh, but the other items were cold or not warm enough. The restaurant food is really good, though quite expensive. They give you a voucher for the restaurant, which is the only way to get a good price. The overnight rate is also a little high. It’s a beautiful place, but not cheap, and I don’t think the value for money works out.

The weather is great, with temperatures rarely going above 23 degrees. Set high on a hill among native trees and all kinds of flowers, it’s a beautiful spot. There are also nearby things to do, including waterfall bathing and trails.

Mango restaurant was excellent and run separately, but the hotel left us very dissatisfied. It doesn’t feel eco-friendly anymore, with broken wind power, electric showers, and walking paths closed. The door locks need maintenance, and the hotel staff weren’t in uniform. A motorcycle was parked in a handicapped space.

I’ve been here twice and think it’s the best hotel in the area. It’s a peaceful place when there aren’t many people around. Give it a try if you haven’t been.
