Parque Das Fontes

The staff were really great, and for the price I think the hotel is a good deal. The food was just okay, though there were lots of choices. Some drinks, like the coconut water, tasted good on some days and rancid on others. The drinks were very sugary but poured generously. The rooms, pools, and water park all felt quite outdated, so don't expect a five-star stay.

The water park wasn't managed well. I saw broken glass, and the layout made it easy to trip and fall. Parking was a long way from the room. This is an ageing family vacation spot with ordinary food and facilities. The rooms had sagging mattresses and weren't very clean. No one speaks English, and all the menus and pamphlets are in Portuguese. The music is prerecorded Foro. I can't explain the picture I took behind the restaurant.

I came from the USA to spend time at the beach with my family, and the hotel was a huge disappointment. It shouldn't be called a resort. On our first night, ants came through the ceiling in the first room and fell onto the bed. They offered us a second room that smelled musty and had air conditioning that wouldn't cool. In the third room, I found two cockroaches, and it smelled musty too. The beers and drinks were terrible quality. I can back this up with photos and videos.

This all-inclusive stay was a letdown. The place seems to be ageing and is often dirty. Its infrastructure was probably great ten years ago, but it looks like the owners would rather maximize benefits than reinvest in renovations and maintain consistent quality. The food is cheap, heavy on sugar and grease, although the churrascaria was okay. The bar serves only very greasy food and has just one beer option. My wife got food poisoning, and from what I read, she wasn't the only one.
