Pousada Marina Praia

Right by the beach and close to the cliffs, it’s easy to find. A real masterpiece of comfort.

It really does have a Portuguese pousada feel 🇵🇹. I liked the peaceful setting and convenient location, with a view across the beach and all along Morro Branco. There are rooms at different price levels, from budget to luxury, and the pool is open until 8 pm, though the sea right in front is the main draw. The service feels very personal. It’s worth staying here.

The pousada is lovely, with a clean pool and comfortable rooms and beds. Towels and toilet paper are provided, you get the air conditioner remote, and there’s a hammock on the balcony with a beautiful view. It’s close to everything. Dona Carmem was attentive and gave me her number in case I arrived after closing or needed anything, even help ordering food. She also kindly asked if we wanted anything else for breakfast and kept breakfast available longer because I woke up late. I plan to return. I recommend contacting her directly to pay, since the apps charge more. It isn’t a luxury place, but it looks nicer now than in those old Google photos. ❤️
