Yasmim, the hotel concierge, made a huge difference for us. She put together our itinerary, shared lots of useful tips and was always there when we needed her. She was genuinely thoughtful, and her help lifted the whole stay. The breakfast was broad and varied, and felt right for a hotel in this category. Staff were generally very helpful, too, though basic room restocking, like providing glasses, wasn’t handled properly during our stay. There’s a lot of promise here, but the new operation still needs some work. There’s no parking or valet service, which affects arrivals and departures, and the hotel entrance is hard to spot, especially if you don’t know the area. The outside windows still had construction dirt on them, which took away from the sense of care. We stayed in two rooms and noticed a big difference between them. In room 905, the window seal was seriously inadequate, with no insulation between the aluminum frame and concrete. A lot of wind came in, along with very loud noise. It seems to be an isolated issue, but it’s not acceptable for a hotel of this level. The decor looks elegant, though it could have more character and a stronger connection to Belém and the Amazon region. The Tivoli Belém has a promising foundation, but needs operational improvements, construction details addressed, and a more distinctive feel to deliver the five-star experience consistently.
The view across the Baía do Guajará really makes you slow down and take it in. From the moment I arrived, the welcome was lovely, with little touches that made me feel special. Everything felt cared for, from the attentive service to the elegant, comfortable atmosphere. It’s sophisticated without going overboard, with just the right touch of glamour. A really enjoyable, memorable stay. I recommend it.
Really lovely hotel, very clean, with polite staff and a great bed and TV. The shower has good water pressure, but it only gets lukewarm, so it’s not for you if you like a scorching hot shower. I missed having pão francês at breakfast, though there were plenty of other breads. When the hotel is busy with people heading to the same event, the elevators aren’t optimized, so all three may stop floor by floor and take longer to get down to the lobby. Music from the docks can also be a bit loud. I’m a heavy sleeper, so it didn’t affect me, but I imagine it could bother light sleepers. None of these little things made my stay unpleasant.
The staff made the mornings special. We meant to spend half an hour at breakfast, but ended up staying for two or three, enjoying everything from regional dishes to more elaborate options beside the inviting pool. The team were so cheerful and caring, and those breakfasts will stay with me for a long time. The view from our room felt like a real piece of the AMAZÔNIA right outside the window. It was hard to believe it wasn’t a movie scene. At Restaurante SSEN, the setting and food were both wonderful. You can enjoy the stylish atmosphere alongside the natural landscape, and the sunset looked like a painting unfolding right in front of us. Our accommodations were spotless, cozy, modern and practical. The reception team were wonderful and paid attention to every detail. OBRIGADO TIVOLI MAIORANA. Until next time, hopefully soon.
