The service is good, and the rooms work well for travelers who don't want to, or can't, spend much on one of Salvador's best hotels. Those hotels can charge as much for one night as Pousada O Casarão charges for a whole week. Still, if you're looking to stay in Barra near the beach and Salvador's main sights, this isn't the cheapest option. Take some time to compare places at the same price or less that are closer to the beach before deciding.
