Hostel Trem de Minas

Pretty goood.

Dona Rubia and Rogério were especially nice, always polite and ready to help sort out any problems. The hostel is simple, but the price is accessible and the location is very convenient, close to the center, supermarkets, a bakery, restaurants, farmácia Araújo, burguerking, and shopping del rey. The rooms are spacious and well equipped with a TV, fan, fridge, and microwave. There are several room options, private or shared, and it works well for families. The bathroom is small, but that wasn't a problem for me. There’s no breakfast or lunch, though you can use the kitchen to make your own meals.

The location is fine, and the women who checked me in were quick and helpful, especially with the form and payment. They didn’t introduce themselves, though. My room was filthy. Dust had made the furniture sticky, the sink was greasy, and the bedding smelled sour. I’m sure it hadn’t been changed. The towels were old, small, and visibly poorly washed. The bathroom was awful too, with dirt in the corners and shower stall. I had an allergic reaction from the bed and linens. The room had terrible sound insulation, so I could hear people having sex in other rooms and neighbors yelling outside. I only stayed because I arrived late at night and had to leave again at 5:00 to catch my flight. It was a really disappointing experience. I’ve stayed in hostels and guesthouses in BH at much better prices and in much better condition. This place needs a lot of improvement. I wouldn’t recommend it.
