The location is the only thing I’d recommend. The place is a large house converted into a hotel. Rooms in the house are satisfactory, but the other rooms are tiny wooden shacks with paint and a bathroom, and they’re horrible. The TV doesn’t work, the shower doesn’t work, and there’s no cleaning. The kitchen was even worse, with insects all around. The microwave and air fryer made me feel sick just looking at them, let alone touching them. The employees said they weren’t registered, and they didn’t care at all about our complaints. Management only offered us another room the day after check-in, and only for showering. That was at 10:00 in the morning, with two hours left before checkout. The rooms had clearly already been used when we arrived, and the suite hadn’t been cleaned: the bed was unmade and the bathroom dirty. Just disgusting. There’s nothing else I’d recommend. If you don’t want to get upset, there are much better options that respect their customers.

The photos bore no resemblance to what we found. The place felt makeshift, with no sense of comfort or order, and our stay was extremely frustrating. The entrance gate was left open, which made us feel very unsafe. The shared kitchen was strange and had almost no facilities or utensils. Our private bathroom was in terrible shape and the shower didn’t work, so I had to use a shared bathroom. The location was also poor, with nothing nearby to make things easier. This was a family trip with my wife and our baby, who was only 4 months old, which made the experience even worse. I felt misled by the difference between the advertised place and the reality. I don’t recommend it.

The house is pretty, with a charming facade on the Pampulha waterfront and a nice view of the lake. That’s where the good part ends. We stayed in room 21, behind the main house, in a space that felt more like a cell than a guest room. It was dim and stuffy, and the fan was so noisy that nobody could sleep well. There was no mirror, everything looked old, and the shared bathroom was just as old and questionably clean. It seems the owner turned every available bit of space into a room by putting up walls. One day the water ran out. After a lot of complaining, they finally let us shower in an unoccupied room in the main house. The setup there looked a little better, but water collected in the shower stall, which was gross. Honestly, I don’t recommend it to anyone and I’ll never come back.

The location is great, close to attractions and easy to get around from, and the view over Lagoa da Pampulha is breathtaking. It’s a peaceful spot for resting. The place feels modern, well cared for and cozy, and the room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. The team were attentive and ready to help, including with tips on what to do nearby. The breakfast was generous, fresh and tasty, and automated check-in made everything quick and easy. The jacuzzi was a real highlight, especially at night with the lake lit up behind it. I left feeling very well looked after. I’ll definitely return and highly recommend it!
