Plaza Hotel & Boulevard Convention – Vale dos Vinhedos

The hotel is in a great spot, has modern facilities, and the bed was very comfortable. Still, I had several issues during my stay. Parking costs extra, which can be inconvenient, and the windows don’t open. There’s an air renewal system, but being unable to open a window made me feel uncomfortable and a bit claustrophobic. The restaurant fell short of what I expected. The pool had so much chlorine that it damaged my bikini and darkened my silver accessories. The jacuzzi/ofurô had clear signs of poor cleaning, especially greasy buildup along the sides. My room TV also had no signal the entire time. It might help to schedule jacuzzi use by time slot, which could make things more orderly and hygienic. The hotel has potential, but some changes are needed for a more complete stay.

The restaurant was a problem one evening when I wasn’t feeling well. We tried to order something from the menu, only to find they weren’t following it that day and had no menu items available. There was only a buffet, and even an hour before it opened they couldn’t say what the food would be or how much it would cost per person. Our room was clean, but far too small for two people, with nowhere near enough space for both our clothes and luggage. The bathroom was small too. Some fifth-floor rooms are directly below the gym, and there was a lot of noise from 6 in the morning.

The breakfast had plenty of options, but felt industrial, without a homemade or welcoming touch. It wasn’t bad, just nothing special, and it suited the hotel’s style. The room was quiet, comfortable and functional, though it felt cold rather than inviting. It’s a place to sleep, shower and rest, not somewhere that becomes part of the trip. The single elevator serves both the garage and the pools, so it sometimes smelled of chlorine and had a wet floor. With only one lift, we waited for it to pass our floor four times around check-in or checkout before we could get to the garage. Also, parking is charged separately from the room, which surprised us because that wasn’t clear or prominent when booking. Keep that in mind.

Hotel Plaza is a lovely place to stay. The atmosphere is pleasant, the rooms are a great size, and the beds are genuinely comfortable. Breakfast is generous, and the location makes it easy to explore Vale dos Vinhedos. I highly recommend it.
