Pousada Florenza

The location is very good, but the rest of the stay fell short. I chose this place because reviews praised the cleanliness. The room was filthy, and the air conditioner was so full of dust that it set off my rhinitis. I bought cleaning supplies and cleaned it myself because they had said it was clean, and I wanted it to actually be clean. After that I wouldn't let anyone else into the room. I disinfected everything and kept it that way. I left before my stay was over. Parking costs extra, and they don't tell you that beforehand. You have to pay if you want your car there. I can understand passing on the insurance cost, but the car is in the inn's own courtyard. The owner was extremely inflexible. I paid for a luxury room that was supposed to be bigger, but it only had a small wardrobe. I asked to switch rooms since the inn was almost empty. He said I'd paid for a standard room and wouldn't move me. I showed him the WhatsApp messages proving I'd paid for luxury, then he said that room was the luxury one. I felt cheated. I had two dogs with me and nowhere to store anything. I paid for 8 days, but couldn't stay that long. He refunded less than half of the final night's charge and took the full card fee out of the half I paid by card, without covering even his share of the fee. I felt misled about the room, the cleanliness, and the refund. I found the inn on booking but booked directly with him because I wanted to help. That was a mistake. If I'd booked through the platform, I could have gotten the bigger room I paid for and demanded proper cleaning.

Good value for the price, with comfortable beds, everything clean, and a really good shower. Breakfast was fresh and filling, with plenty of bread, fruit, cereal, and other choices. It's a cozy, family-run inn that also has dinner options in the evening. The neighborhood feels safe and family-friendly, and it's close to Maria Fumaça and Vale dos Vinhedos.

Mr. Vanio gave us wonderful service. I was in town for an event, and even with a few complications, he did everything he could to welcome us. The room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was tasty.

On the phone, things sounded one way. Mr. Vanio was still friendly when we arrived, but I ran into a few problems: the bathroom was clogged, and they charged for parking without mentioning it beforehand. Breakfast was weak and repetitive. The place was clean and the staff were friendly, but I won't return.
