Blumenau Tower by Castelo Itaipava

The location is great, but I'd have been better off choosing somewhere farther from the city center. The breakfast was decent, though very basic. The breakfast room looks out over the river and pool, where I saw a dirty sock floating. I spent two nights here with my 10-year-old son, and we found long hairs on the pillowcase in our supposedly clean room and a used condom wrapper under the bed. When I asked to speak with management, I was told that person wasn't at the hotel. I waited through our stay, but never got a response. There was black mold and rainwater dripping from the ceiling in reception, which should have warned us. We got trapped in our room because the doorknob didn't work. There were no blankets or towels available, even when we asked. My son also got stuck in the elevator when its door wouldn't open on the floor we requested. Some lift doors had no springs to slow them down, so they slammed loudly and dangerously every time.
