Villa Di Acqua Hotel

The worst part was how the hotel handled my health emergency. I arrived on Sunday and spent time in the pools, then had dinner. In the middle of the night I woke up very sick, vomiting and with severe abdominal pain. The next day I couldn’t eat and had terrible diarrhea, going to the bathroom around 20 times, no exaggeration. My wife had the same thing. We lost practically a whole day in the room. We were seen at the Ambulatory and given medication. Camila at the Ambulatory was kind and attentive. Because of this, I asked to leave one day before the reservation ended. It was an emergency, but the hotel handled it terribly. I only got a reply 19 hours after my request, and only after following up four times with reception. At exactly 11:17, I received this message: “How are you? Do you still want to be leaving today?” How was I supposed to find another hotel, have lunch, pack, and leave in just 1 hour and 43 minutes while feeling so sick? I spent two full days ill and unable to enjoy anything, and didn’t even get an answer to my request. I contacted Hoteis.com, and they also told me the hotel hadn’t replied by email or phone. At 03:00, I was chatting with Hoteis.com, trying to find someone who could help sort it out. Sadly, it couldn’t be resolved. The park’s facilities are good, with plenty of pools and water slides, and their maintenance wasn’t in question. The room was quite basic, with new furniture but a bathroom that looked old. The shower had plenty of hot water and good pressure. Cleaning was very good, and we were grateful for the care from employee Joana. The food was good, but the price was more like that of a farm hotel, where you’d get more food options. We stayed four days, and the meat was tough and dry every day. It seemed strange, almost as if it had been reheated. Some guests said it looked partly prepared in advance and finished just before meals. There were no fresh juices, only a machine with processed juice and another with soft drinks. At the restaurant, Frozen was very attentive and kind. The park does a poor job enforcing its rules. We saw MANY people smoking, couples making out in the pools, people using speakers, and guests ignoring quiet hours. The recreation program was average. You know when someone tries too hard to be funny? It was like that. I don’t expect luxury for a rate of R$ 200,00 a night. But I paid R$ 1.500,00 and expected more for that price.
