Hostel Toca da Moréia Bombinhas

Really nice people, clean place, and amazing coffee for 5 real. Hot water 24/7, Wi-Fi, and 100 playa!!!!! 🤘

The staff were great, and the location is excellent if, like me, you don't have a car.

The location is perfect, but I was disappointed by the cleanliness, especially after reading so many reviews praising it. The room was dirty, with dirty bunk bed frames and grime in the cupboards. The bathroom was dirty too, and the bins were overflowing. There was no paper towel in the women's bathroom, and there was even a cockroach in there. The hostel was almost empty even though it was a holiday, so the mess made no sense. I also thought it was unfair that the air conditioning remote was only available from 7 p.m. I asked on the first day and they turned it on earlier, but what’s the point of having air conditioning if the hours are restricted? I think it’s fair to ask everyone to switch it off when they leave, but limiting the hours is a problem. The lockers fit a small travel suitcase, and they provide a lock. The front door was hard to open and close too. There’s a little kitchenette with a fridge and thermal kettle, but we missed having a microwave.
