Chale Apart

The room was tidy, and both the shower and air conditioning worked perfectly. Reception was excellent and attentive, and breakfast was wonderful. It's close to the center, so there's no need to rent a car.

The hotel's location is excellent, just off the main street, and the room was good. When the shower wouldn't heat, they replaced it promptly. The staff were all kind and polite, so this review is for the owner, who needs to pay urgent attention to the place. On our fourth day, we found lots of tiny cockroaches in the shower stall. Reception handed me insecticide and left me to apply it. She didn't even come upstairs to deal with the problem. The next day we asked for the bathroom to be cleaned so we could shower, but when we came back that evening, there were cockroaches in the room again. The same thing happened the day after. Nobody offered to move us, cover the drain with a mesh, or suggest any other solution. We just had cockroaches for the final three days of our stay. That was unacceptable. The beds are made with only a bottom sheet, no top sheet, and the towels and curtains are old. Breakfast was very, very basic. A cake made three days earlier was still being served. The only things we felt safe eating were bread, ham, and cheese, since we weren't willing to risk the eggs. If the cake had been there for three days, the eggs might have been too. The watermelon tasted like it had been kept in the fridge too long. This hotel is really well located and could be excellent, but these details need more care.

My wife and I really liked the accommodation. Breakfast was excellent, and the price was very fair. I recommend it!

The location is excellent, and the staff were all very friendly. Breakfast was very good too. The room, though, had old beds and a very hard mattress.
