I booked a package through Viajanet in May/2025, with flights and this inn for New Year’s, from the 27th through 01/01/2026. In September/2025, Viajanet emailed to say the inn could no longer honor my stay and offered two alternatives. The first was a much more basic inn far from downtown, and I’d have to pay the equivalent of another night. The second was also inferior and would cost 40% more than the total stay, even though my package had already included everything. I was furious because I always book early, since last-minute bookings are so expensive. I contacted the inn, and Mauko told me: “The property changed management and the new owners changed all the rates. The rate your reservation was made at doesn’t match the new rates, so we’re letting customers know in advance to look for another place, or, if you want to keep the reservation, I can send you the new rate!” I thought it was absurd that the inn had held my money for four months and then canceled my stay. I didn’t know whether the bad faith was on their side or Viajanet’s, so I went to Viajanet, who resolved everything in the best way and made sure I wasn’t disadvantaged. Be very careful if you book this inn.
