Pousada Céu de Estrelas

We stayed a little over a week and enjoyed our time here between day tours. The room was nice, the staff were nice, and there was a rooster you could pet.

The room was very clean and breakfast was excellent. Around 5:00pm, lots of wild parrots gather in the trees.

The beds and pillows were very comfortable, and the pool and hot tub area was beautiful and well cared for. That’s what first drew me to the place. Breakfast matched the nightly rate, and it was quiet, with little noise, close to the center. I came with a group of friends, about 20 of us, and we occupied almost all the rooms from Friday to Sunday. We rented the barbecue area for both Friday and Saturday, but when I arrived to set things up, it didn’t look like it had been cleaned. They charge 100 reais a day, so at the very least it should have been clean. I had to ask them to wipe down the foosball and pool tables, which had cobwebs, and the rest of the space was dusty too. The fridge for storing our things was very old, and its door fell into our hands when we started putting things inside. The barbecue skewers and grill were rusty. There could have been at least a two-burner cooktop for basic cooking, and the barbecue area lighting was poor. My room smelled very musty, like it had been closed up for a while. The shower controls were wrapped with electrical tape, and some friends even got shocked. The building is old, but that itself isn’t the issue. These are details that need attention and could completely change the guest experience. I hope they take the suggestions seriously so future guests have a better stay.

I stayed with my family in August/2025 and had a very good experience. The room was good, as were the bathroom and shower, and the outdoor area was lovely. My only suggestion would be to offer more breakfast choices. Bonito’s activities involve adventure, walking, and the like, so you want to be well fed until the tour’s lunch break. Other than that, I have only praise.
