Maria is what made our stay so special. She's multilingual, deeply caring, and full of energy. When problems caused by other people came up, she helped us sort them out herself and went far beyond what we expected. Her story and her dedication to social justice and art are inspiring. We felt noticed, supported, and truly cared for, like travelers welcomed into a home. Pousada Galeria Artes has spacious, spotless rooms, a lovely pool, delicious breakfasts, and a bar with fantastic caipirinhas and food. The whole staff were warm and welcoming. The place is full of art and soul, and I can't recommend it enough. Five stars don't feel like enough for Maria and this magical place.

The in-house tour agency was a big help with planning activities, and bartender Cicero makes the best caipirinhas! The pousada has lovely staff, great facilities, and a top-notch breakfast. Most of the staff speak English too.

We had a quiet, pretty place to stay, with a great pool and a nice kitchen serving food. It's close to the main road, and Maria and her staff went out of their way to help us. Maria was lovely, helpful, and spoke English. Looking forward to coming back.
