Recanto Eco Suites

My stay was awful. I arrived at 11 p.m. and they had no reservation under my name, even though I’d booked through the agency in MAY for a SEPTEMBER trip. I had the reservation number and all the agency paperwork with me, but they still didn’t want to let me stay. After a long argument, they put me in an upstairs room that was HORRIBLE. The floor seems to be made of sheet metal and clanged every time we walked. The glass door did nothing to block sound, so all the street noise came into the room. There’s a bar across from the inn, and people played loud music and made noise until sunrise, making sleep impossible. Sometimes they also turned on the pool waterfall in the middle of the night, adding even more noise. When I complained, I was told that was just how it was and nothing could be done. Unbelievable. Breakfast was simple, with few choices, but what they had was very good.

I really liked the place, but the buffet was disappointing. There wasn’t enough food, and whenever new guests came for breakfast, there was no pão de queijo left. We saw several guests talking about the same problem.

We liked the service and the rooms, and the location is excellent. Breakfast was good too, nothing to complain about.

The location is great, just half a block from the main avenue, and we had a good stay. The downstairs rooms have no windows, though, and breakfast could use a few more options.
