Manhattan Plaza

Patrick and Diego were especially courteous and helpful, and I had an amazing view from my room. Only Patrick spoke English, so communicating could be difficult when he wasn't around. Google Translate helped, though it was frustrating at times. The AC was loud, but the weather was cool enough that I was comfortable with it off. Wi-Fi wasn't great either, but I was out most of the time.

I got better internet reception in the lobby, but there's nowhere there to work, and it gets noisy and busy. I wound up spending a lot of time in restaurants with Wi-Fi just to get work done. This was my second stay. The first room was excellent, but this one had no table, just an inconvenient high bar. The internet was terribly weak both times, making work impossible. I complained again and got the same answer: they'd tell the IT person. Very frustrating. If you're on vacation and can wait minutes for pages to load, it may be fine. If you need reliable internet, stay somewhere else.

The room Wi-Fi isn't good enough, and there were far too many sandflies in the rooms for a four-star hotel. The bathroom sewage seems to be the problem. I hope they improve the cleaning instead of just spraying pesticides, which is toxic and unsustainable. Fine for a week, though.

Getting to the room felt very secure, which was a plus. But the room cleanliness made the Manhattan Plaza much less appealing. One towel was badly stained, the other smelled like bad feet, and the bed linen had a major stain too. I don't understand how housekeeping missed all of that. The couch was filthy and stained and needs replacing as soon as possible. I wouldn't recommend it.
