The gardens and pool area are immaculate, with palms and flowering trees. Breakfast has loads of options and can be brought to your room. I also loved the room with the tub, the huge shower, and the view of the private garden from the big bath. What really makes this place, though, is the staff. They bring fresh cold towels, remember your drink orders, and are as thoughtful and attentive as you could hope for. Incredible place. 10/10.

The staff and service made this stay for me. Angie at the front desk kept in touch before my trip and right through to the end, arranged our complimentary airport rides both ways, and helped plan activities for our short visit. The restaurant team were always smiling, attentive, and quick to open doors for guests. They’re exceptionally well trained, and it lifts the whole experience. With only 7 rooms, you feel very well looked after. The restaurant and bar look out over the beach, and the rooms have good air conditioning, clean bathrooms, and plenty of space in both the bedroom and bathroom, including the shower. The in-room massages were excellent and worth the price. Breakfast, which is complimentary, was one of my favorites. I rarely write hotel reviews, but Frangipani made me want to. The room design, views, restaurant, and cleanliness all stood out. I also thought the location was perfect: a short tricycle ride from town and nearby beaches, 20 min from the airport, and far enough from the city to feel quiet and private at night while still close to the livelier areas. This boutique hotel is one of a kind and deserves more recognition. I can’t recommend it enough to anyone staying in El Nido, from any country. I imagine it’ll get much more attention as travel picks up post-pandemic.

A good spot for a couple of days of rest. The staff and accommodations were great. It’s geared toward a more romantic stay, with no kids allowed, and activities are limited to indoor and outdoor pools, a few outdoor games, and a bar. There are trails, small waterfalls, and other water and hiking activities close by in Brotas.

We stayed 3 nights while traveling through Brasil, after seeing the good TripAdvisor reviews. The location is nice, but even the top room category has small rooms and tiny bathrooms. The walls are thin, so you hear everything from the neighbors. The biggest disappointment was how inflexible they were when we asked for a 30 min late checkout to fit around our booked tour. Manager Nilson and the receptionist didn’t try to help, even though their own website showed 3 rooms in the same category available. I haven’t experienced that kind of refusal in a long time of travel, including at 5 star hotels around the world. It’s ridiculous to have zero flexibility and not allow a 30 min late checkout. There are better options nearby. I wouldn’t come back.
