I was especially taken with the garden and the care for the environment. The sustainability here is practical, not just for show: there’s solar power, recycling is sorted, and the banana plants near the bathrooms suggest water reuse. Simple ecological materials are used creatively and functionally in the room, including an old fashioned soap dish in the bathroom. The signs also encourage thoughtful use of things. The place manages to make simple things feel sophisticated, with good taste. It’s a beautiful, quiet retreat with privacy. The colors, paintings, and lighting are lovely, and the air conditioner with a heater made a real difference on the cold nights. Entry and exit are automated, and WhatsApp service was impeccable. Breakfast at the bakery was divine, as was lunch at the recommended restaurant. It was a perfect weekend. Congratulations to the pousada’s creator and owner, and to the team caring for the place. We met Margarida, who looks after the garden with so much affection!

The suites are in a lovely setting close to everything, with plenty of trees around and a chance to enjoy nature and watch birds. If you stay in suite 7 (antúrio), you may spot toucans in the trees in the late afternoon. A great place to stay.

We loved our stay. The garden is beautifully done, and we felt close to nature while still having everything we needed. The room was spacious and well equipped, and the guest support room had a microwave, dishes, cutlery, and an iron. The place is clean, pleasant, and well located, so we could get around on foot. As a bonus, we made friends with Rodolfo the cat. He’s a sweetheart!
