The inn's location is very good, but the place itself has a lot of room for improvement. My room smelled musty and seemed really dirty. Breakfast was disappointing too. The room was very old, and tiles were coming loose from the wall. I wouldn't stay here again.

I only managed to stay about 3 hours. The room smelled musty, and the shower had no hot water, just freezing cold water. There was no comfort at all, and the wall looked wet up high, probably from a leak. I didn't like the inn, and it could use some improvements. The one good thing was the attendant, who was very friendly and polite.

We had a great stay at Balbino. The place feels cozy, and the rooms are comfortable, with a minibar and air conditioning. It's in a great spot, 500 meters from the beach, with access to the area's best beaches. The staff, including the owners, were very attentive. We'd happily recommend it and come back.

We arrived on 31/01/2025, when Cabo Frio was packed, and were able to get a room here. It needed some improvements, but it had air conditioning, a TV, and a minibar. The bathroom was quite small. It worked well for us for a night or two. There's no parking, but we easily found a space beside the inn.
