Pousada Brisa do Forte

Really great.

The location was excellent, and breakfast had plenty to choose from. Our room was comfortable too, with air conditioning and a TV. We had asked for a double but got a triple room, so it felt a bit cramped, though we made it work. One odd thing: after a full day at the beach, we came back ready for bed and found the sheets folded on top of the bed for us to make it ourselves. And when we asked for hot water for mate, they wanted 8 reais. Other pousadas and hotels we stayed at didn't charge for that, which was disappointing. Apart from those issues, we had a very pleasant stay.

The location worked well, and the street was quiet. We could park in some parts of the pousada. My husband and I liked the room: it had a nice amount of space, a pretty decor, and a cozy, slightly romantic feel with the red blankets. It also had split air conditioning, a plasma TV, a minibar, and a good bathroom. Room service was great. For the price, though, breakfast could have offered more variety. We've stayed elsewhere with a wider selection, and sometimes there weren't even enough spoons to stir the coffee. Small details like that, plus a little more variety, would make the price feel more in line. Still, we'd recommend it and would come back.

Caio welcomed us right away and took great care of us. We were in a tough spot during Carnival: the hotel we'd booked had let us down, told us to leave, and said it would refund us. We'd come from far away, and they hadn't considered what that meant for us on a Carnival day. Thankfully, we got in touch with Hotel Brisa and heard back immediately. They had a room available, so we could relax and spend our days without worries. My fiancé and I had a wonderful stay. The atmosphere was pleasant, and we loved every detail of the room. Thanks for the attention and such excellent service.
