The steep sandy path up from the village of Morerè and its lovely beaches isn’t the easiest at night. There are no lights, and quads pass by, though I got used to it and came to enjoy the walk. The hostel’s peaceful feel, great terrace views from its hilltop position, and the excellent breakfast Bruno prepares made for a really good stay. The rooms are a little small, but they’re new, spotless, functional, and well organized. I’d happily come back.

The shared terrace has a spectacular view and is where people hang out together. There’s also a fully equipped kitchen for guests, and the owners are lovely and always ready to help however they can. This is easily one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in anywhere in the world, and I’ve stayed in plenty. The rooms are comfortable, with bed-side outlets and lights, lockers, private bathrooms, and air conditioning. There’s another full bathroom outside where you can take a lovely open-air shower. Breakfast is generous and tasty, with coffee, juice, filled tapioca, cake, and fruit. The walk to Moreré village takes about 10 minutes. It’s manageable if you don’t have reduced mobility, and on the way back at night you’ll have a beautiful starry sky above you. I highly recommend it and would definitely return if I can.

Bela and Bruno made the stay so much better. They shared tips on beaches and outings, basically everything I wanted to do, and the breakfast was delicious. The hostel has an incredible view of nature with the beach in the distance, unlike anything I’ve seen. It’s a great place to work, rest, spend time with others, or just enjoy the surroundings. Everything is cleaned and organized daily, including the bathrooms and kitchen, and the atmosphere has such a contagious energy. This is definitely the best hostel I’ve stayed in. The area is lovely to spend time in, and it felt like a chance to disconnect and reconnect with nature. Highly recommend.
