Breakfast was a real highlight, with lots of tasty choices that were carefully prepared and replenished often. The breakfast team paid attention to everything and made mornings feel relaxed. The rooms and shared spaces also stayed spotless and well cared for, with a fresh feel throughout. The staff were warm, friendly, and always ready to help. The location made it easy to get to lovely beaches and the lively island center on foot, so it was easy to mix relaxing with sightseeing. That combination made the stay memorable. I’d happily return and recommend the hotel to anyone visiting the island.

A very pleasant place, with a quiet feel even though the beach is barely 50 yards away. Everything was very clean and felt safe, and the staff were extremely nice. Breakfast was good, and they also offered free coffee and cakes from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

The setting is beautiful, the service was great, and the pousada itself was wonderful. The staff were helpful and attentive, and they spoke English. I’m allergic to milk products, so when I mentioned it, they made breakfast dishes to suit me. I’ll definitely come back.

My friend and I needed to work while traveling, so having a desk and chair in the room was a big help. The Wi-Fi worked well there and up on the rooftop, and the air conditioning and shower both worked properly. Our room was mostly quiet, which was a relief with a busier street nearby. The staff were patient and helpful on the phone when we had questions before booking. We also happened to meet the owner on our first day. I asked if they could save some of the breakfast coffee for me to drink later while working, and the kitchen staff kindly set a batch aside. Pousada Borboleta exceeded our expectations, even though we were a little needy.

A lovely place to stay, close to everything and the 2nd and 4th beaches. The breakfast was delicious, and the receptionists and everyone else were good to us. It was also a great spot to get some rest at night.
