Pousada E Restaurante Mar Da Gamboa

Mar da Gamboa is a spectacular, cozy place with a real family feel and a lovely room. The hospitality made me feel so comfortable. Kali at reception deserves a 1000, and the owners, Rosali and Jailton, were so attentive. The crispy shrimp was perfection, and breakfast was wonderful too. Everything was done with care and love. Congratulations, you're the best!

The pool was one of the good parts, especially for kids, who had a lot of fun there. The adults' section is very small, though, and already feels cramped with six people. The swim-up bar was always closed. The beaches and beach stalls in Gamboa are a long walk from the pousada if you want to get to the good ones. We had a decent stay because we were with family, but I wouldn't recommend the pousada now. The rooms are small and had a strong mothball smell, dampness, and mold on the walls. One room had water leaking from the bathroom, so we had to request cleaning. Breakfast was low quality with little variety. For the facilities, the price is very high. We've stayed at other hotels and pousadas in the area and in other states, and this may have been one of the worst for value. We paid more than R$300 a night for a place whose facilities fall far short of the price. We stayed because family recommended it. I hope the owners use these comments constructively and make improvements before continuing to charge these rates. I don't recommend it at this time.

We had an amazing time here with family and friends. The location is excellent, just 200 meters from the Gamboa landing, and the village has restaurants, snack bars, pizzerias, and more open at night. The pousada is literally right on the beach. When you feel like a swim, just open the back gate and head out, then come back for a dip in the pool. The kids' water park is a big hit, and the pool beside it has a swim-up bar for adults. The owners and staff make you feel at home, and the food is wonderful. The owners also run some outings themselves or point you to others. We'll absolutely be back!

We had a wonderful stay. The inn is well equipped and very close to the sea. The service was excellent, and the owners, Jailton and Rose, were warm and gave us great tips for outings. Thank you!
