Pousada Eolos

We keep coming back here after trying a few other pousadas in BG. The managers are helpful and the atmosphere is good. Kiters can walk to the beach in under five minutes, and if you're up for side trips or downwinders, the manager might share some of his secret tips.

We were so uncomfortable that we checked out at 7 the next morning, after arriving at 9 pm on 11/12. The pool was dirty first thing in the morning, and the hammock on the porch looked and felt grimy. I didn't stay for breakfast after everything that had happened. The room's glass door was covered by what looked like scraps of fabric, and you could clearly see inside. In the first ground-floor room, the top bunk had cockroach droppings in a corner, while the lower bunk's pillow was moldy and practically wet. My father and I are both allergic, so we were afraid we'd react and didn't use the pillows. The bathroom water was salty at both the sink and shower, the shower temperature wouldn't adjust, and its spray hit the wall more than us. I hope taking that room kept someone else from having to stay there that night. I don't want anyone else to go through this, and I want an answer.

The location is good, the rooms feel cozy, and the staff were polite and helpful. But the shower water was awful, extremely salty. After coming back from the beach already covered in salt, the water felt even saltier than the sea. Other guests in nearby rooms complained about it too, so mine wasn't an isolated case. They should check the water in the rooms and improve it. I can't recommend the place.

I booked through the app and paid a high price for a terrible stay. There was no personal or online service, the phone numbers didn't work, and I left without seeing anyone, not even to say goodbye. I want my money back. There's no parking, so the vehicle has to stay on the street. I have photos and video of the place. I arrived at 10 pm because I was working in town. I didn't know the key was left in the door, and another hotel's owner had to help me find it. When I returned, the entrance was open and dark. The glass door meant I couldn't close the curtains for privacy. The shower barely put out any water, and it was salty. I had a cut that stung badly, and even the sink water was salty. The TV wouldn't tune into channels, and the air conditioner was very noisy. The sheets didn't seem properly washed, and the pillow was dirty and moldy, so I only got a little rest before leaving. A house next door was being renovated, with workers near the pool, which was dirty too. I was completely overlooked and got not even the slightest attention.
