The staff were genuinely helpful, and I liked the hotel and its superb breakfast. The bathroom cleanliness was unbelievably poor, though. The showerhead was covered in mold. I’m not asking them to replace it, but it could at least be scrubbed with a sponge. When we first turned on the water, there was a rotten egg smell, probably from the showerhead. Thankfully it went away after about 10 minutes. It’s a three star hotel, so please pay more attention to cleaning. Check the pictures.

Breakfast was the strongest part of the stay: the food tasted great and the staff were attentive. The restaurant is run separately from the Pousada, though. In the rooms, the AC worked well and there was a TV, but they felt bare and had no window glass. Keeping the blinds shut meant no light, while opening them let in all the mosquitoes. There were only a few lounge chairs to relax in, and they were taken away at 6pm. Cleanliness overall could have been better. Service was mediocre, though the staff were polite.

The poolside bar and restaurant were nice. They serve good local traditional food at a fair price, and the staff speak English.

Breakfast was delicious, and the WiFi stayed strong and reliable. The room was great too.
