My stay here wasn't pleasant. I gave it one star because at least the air conditioning cooled the room, and Sr. Luis, who looks after the pousada, is very friendly. The price is steep. The TV only gets a few local channels, breakfast is basic, and the furniture and bathroom ceiling are wicker. The bed creaks a lot, and cleanliness wasn't great. For example, the bath towel in the photo looked like that before it had even been used. The minibar was so rusty it felt like you needed a tetanus shot before using it. The worst part was the old mattress and wicker bed. I was a feast for a whole colony of bedbugs the night I slept there. I woke up with so many bites I thought I was on Naked and Afraid. At least being woken by my bloodsucking friends at 5 a.m. meant I got to see Arembepe's beautiful sunrise. It's a lovely place, and otherwise my stay was quiet.
Good location, and breakfast was good. The place needs maintenance in general, and the bathroom shower enclosure was especially unhygienic, like it never gets washed. I'd only recommend staying overnight if there's no other option.
The view is really beautiful, but the service and some of the amenities could be better. Breakfast could use more variety, and the doors, windows, and minibar need a general check.
The room had a lovely view, and the location was convenient, close to the square and beaches. But breakfast was badly lacking, and the property needs maintenance.
