We stayed at both casa San Antonio and Baia das caraubas, which have the same owner. Both places were wonderful, and you can see the care and attention to detail in how they’re designed and looked after. One small idea: it would be great to have a few yoga mats in the gym area. The deck in front of the pool would be perfect for yoga in the morning or at sunset.

The kiting was fantastic. Almost every day we had the whole bay to ourselves, with strong, steady wind. We also had a blast on beach buggy day trips to Maceio and Tatajuba. We came for five nights to kite and explore the area, and loved the beautiful accommodation, excellent food, stunning scenery, and friendly, welcoming staff.
