For the price, the rest of the stay was fine, but the shower was cold and the pillows smelled awful, so they had to be replaced. Check-in took ages while three coach loads of guests were checking out and lots of bill questions were being handled.

The public spaces look just like the website, and the staff were friendly. The hotel is pretty and nicely equipped, which made all the problems especially disappointing. It has a lot of potential, but I wouldn't stay here again. The room itself didn't feel clean. We tried walking around barefoot and the bottoms of our feet quickly got dusty. There were no drinking glasses, and the tiny bathroom rug meant the floor stayed wet. The blackout curtains had holes, and there was no room safe or physical barrier such as a chain or hook to keep anyone from entering. Getting online was confusing, with no explanation during an already very long check-in. The public Wi-Fi in the restaurant kept failing. The hotel also gives each room just one key card, regardless of how many guests are staying. They said the hotel was full, though it seemed more likely they wanted to save power by stopping guests from leaving another card in to keep the AC running. With more than one person in the room, every departure has to be coordinated. If some people head to breakfast while someone else sleeps in, the AC goes off because the card is needed to run it. There were also unsettling issues with animals. Someone in my group came across a venomous snake on the way back to their room and called staff to remove it. The staff wanted to release it only a couple of yards away, even though there were lots of kids at the hotel. I half expected to see cockroaches after that, but still didn't expect one in the restaurant, as the attached video shows. There were more problems, but this is already a long list. If the website has you expecting a good hotel, you can find somewhere better, or stay home and spare yourself the aggravation.

The resort is lovely, and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, though the mattresses were so-so. There is a timeshare business at the resort, but it didn't bother us.
