The mattress was awful, and the room wasn't well maintained. My six-night booking became a mess at check-in: the attendant said the system showed only three nights, even after I showed him the reservation, and said he couldn't help. Since I'd booked 30 days ahead at a low price, I immediately felt they were trying to push me out. I didn't argue and agreed to stay three nights, while looking for another hotel because I suspected manipulation. At checkout, a different attendant said I was booked for all six nights. By then I'd already reserved another hotel and couldn't stay, but he said I'd have to pay for the remaining three nights. I refused and left. I contacted my agent, who spoke with Manager Geraldo Neto at the hotel. He said they would refund me for those three nights, but that never happened. I have to give this hotel one star. Its dishonest treatment of customers should mean it gets shut down by law. Stay away!

The pool was lovely, and I really liked the view over the palm trees in the park across the street. The staff were so friendly, polite, and welcoming to me as someone from England. I'll stay or visit again when I'm back in cambui.
