Radisson RED Campinas

In Cambui, this is a very nice place with really good service. Estrila deserves a mention: she spoke excellent English and cheerfully took care of my special breakfast request every day.

We ended up at Radisson Red in Cambui, the upscale part of Campinas, after our original hotel looked like a sketchy area for coming back late at night. We wanted somewhere well lit and safe. The rate seemed very reasonable for a party room, with two connecting rooms costing $250/night. The gym and sauna are on the 21st floor and have great city views. Valet parking was US$6.70/day, with 24/7 in-and-out privileges. The pool is at lobby level, though I never used it because I hadn't brought swim trunks. Breakfast was free and included hot coffee, cappuccinos, orange juice, hot food like scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage, plus fresh-cut fruit and pastries. Everything worked fine, and the staff at the bar were responsive. I didn't notice any issues.

Gustavo and the morning staff made every morning better for me. They were warm and made sure my family and I were well looked after. Portuguese is their first language and English is mine, but that never stopped them from making us feel welcome.

The ground-floor restaurant serves good food and has live music, and the hotel itself is nice. The rooms are quite small, though. With just two elevators serving 20 floors, getting one can sometimes take a long time.
