The cooking is genuinely fine, and the service is impeccable. It's a charming, cozy spot to stop and enjoy a few of the nice dishes on the menu.

Getting a cab or Uber was impossible because a German Festival was happening right in front of the hotel, so we eventually moved to another hotel and asked for a refund. They said no, and after I got back to the US, my email went unanswered. Earlier, I had booked one of the top rooms for my fiancée and me, but it was freezing and very dark, with only a small window. The front desk said the heater worked, so I requested a different room and paid the difference to upgrade to the Presidential Suite. That suite was cold too. They don't have proper heating, and their English is very poor.

We'd definitely come back. It's a quiet spot close to most tourist attractions, with friendly, helpful staff. The place is kept beautifully and feels simple yet elegant.
