The staff were helpful, and having an eating area with water was good. Still, the room felt like it wasn’t very clean, and it was too cold inside. The toilet was very small compared with the size of the room. Breakfast was the same each day, with a few kinds of fruit, bread, cheese, ham, cake, and a few other things.

I stayed for two weeks on business in April 2018, and the hotel was horrible. The floor always smelled like garbage. I think housekeeping on the upper floors put the trash in a closet and only took it out once a week. They sometimes didn’t restock the fridge, either. When I brought wine, I had one glass but no opener. They brought one after I asked, then called five minutes later to say they needed it back. It’s safe to say they had just one bottle opener and one iron. To use the iron, I had to ask the desk at least two hours ahead. They’d say housekeeping was bringing it, but it never showed up.

The location is prime, within walking distance of the best Campinas has to offer in the upscale neighborhood of Cambuí. The place isn’t luxurious or fancy, but it’s clean and comfortable, with good breakfast and a very attentive staff.

The rooms are very large, and the breakfast buffet is great. The people are friendly. I’ll definitely come back.

Vitoria Newport has roomy loft-like spaces with a kitchen and bedroom. The furniture is simple and the place looks old, so I felt I was paying too much for the night. Still, the breakfast and overall service were good enough.
