I don’t recommend it. I’d reserved for a group of 18 pilgrims and arranged to pay by the end of January, since that would give me time to collect each person’s share of the deposit. Five days before the month was up, she canceled my reservation without contacting me first to talk it over. It caused me a lot of stress trying to find space for a large group during a long holiday weekend.

It feels family-run, and the price is very fair compared with the inns downtown. This is already my second time staying here.

Dona Maria gave us a lovely welcome when we stayed on Saturday 30/07 and 31/07. The suites are simple, but very clean, and it’s a good affordable option if, like me, you’re only staying one night. I liked that breakfast times are reserved by family. The street was quiet, and since I had a car, the roughly 10-minute drive to the center wasn’t a problem.

I was shocked by the place because it didn’t match the photos at all. I refused the first room offered because it had no window. In the room where I spent one night, only half the inner window was glass, with just the louvered shutter to close, so it was freezing and uncomfortable. The bathroom had no walls or door, only a curtain and half an acrylic shower screen separating the toilet from the rest of the room. There was no privacy, and the smell spread through the whole room. These are makeshift rooms being offered as suites. Is that really a suite? It’s absurd. The owner’s young daughter and the cleaning assistant received me, though the cleaning assistant was very kind and polite.
