Hotel Aldeia da Serra

A special thank you to the owners, who welcome you when you arrive, and to the breakfast team. The breakfast was magnificent, with strict safety measures in place, and the service was excellent. The rooms were clean, the building is beautiful, and the grounds have lovely views. There's also a very nice parking area. A few things to keep in mind: the hotel is far from the center of Vila Capivari, and there are no elevators, so choose the first floor if you're elderly or have trouble with stairs. The rooms have heaters, though they could consider replacing them with inverter split units, which are more efficient and economical. The carpets also need changing, as they're a nightmare for people with allergies. Even with those issues, it's well worth staying here.

The location works especially well if you're arriving by bus, since the hotel is basically next to the bus station. From there, it's about a 15-minute walk to central Capivari, with a nice view along the way. The rooms are cozy, with comfortable beds and hot water. The place felt fully pleasant, and they took hygiene seriously during the pandemic. Breakfast had lots of choices, all well prepared by a great team. A lovely place and good value for the money. Ten out of ten!

I'm trying to recover the balance from a reservation I made in 2022 that I couldn't use. I let them know beforehand, and at the time I chose not to get a refund because I wanted to use the stay another time. They were very cordial then and said anything was possible. Now, even with proof of the reservation, I'm told I can't use it after March. That's the answer after more than 15 days of trying to reach them, with each reply taking over 1-2 days. Where's the common sense?

The hotel is just over a five-minute walk from the bus station, which is a great location. Our room was cozy, with a very comfortable bed and outlets nearby. It also had a minibar and a balcony with a small clothes-drying rack. The bathroom was very clean, and the shower got nice and hot. Breakfast was just perfect, with loads of options, and the staff were so kind. Everyone we met was polite and helpful. I definitely recommend it!
