Hotel Geneve - 2km do Capivari

The staff were wonderful, and breakfast was complete and very good. But several other things need more attention. The room's cleaning was poor. The towels were dirty, and the sheets seemed to have been changed a while ago and had collected dust. My boyfriend and I both have rhinitis, so that really affected us. On the last day, my charger fell under the bed. When I reached down, there was pet hair everywhere, from a cat or dog. I was horrified. It looked like they'd only cleaned around the bed. The bathroom sink drained very slowly. The room was called a luxury room, but it was very small and noisy. They need better door sealing because of the loud avenue nearby. I also missed getting an explanation at check-in. Nobody even told us where breakfast was, or explained that only one side of the heated sheet was working.

The location is good, and I liked the room and bathroom. The bathroom had a hair dryer, hot water in the sink for washing your face in the morning, a gas shower, and they provided soap, shampoo, and towels. Breakfast was very good, with plenty to eat, and there was a pleasant sitting area and a kitchen with a microwave and sink. I paid 400 for three days for two people, which seemed like a good price, though I didn't like being charged a service fee when I arrived without being told beforehand. The parking wasn't great. It's small and works on a rotating basis, so if you drive, you may wake up to find your car across the street. I came by motorcycle and didn't have that issue. I wished there were more outlets by the bed for the heater, lamp, and phone charger. There's only one. The TV wouldn't have mattered much, since the remote didn't work and we didn't use it. I'd recommend staying if the rate is good, but if it's too expensive, I'd look at other options.

I want to formally record how dissatisfied I was with my stay from 05/06 to 06/06. The experience was extremely negative and didn't match the services the property had advertised. Before booking, I asked specifically about heating in the room because I would be traveling with a small child. I was expressly told the room had a heated sheet, and that assurance was a deciding factor in choosing the place. When I tested it, it wasn't working. I went to reception for help, but the staff member on duty said nothing could be done then because only the housekeepers knew where the equipment was or how to replace it. He wasn't cordial and showed no interest in fixing the problem. He only offered to refund the stay if I wanted to find somewhere else, even though the city was very busy at that time and rooms were scarce. There were no viable places available nearby, and I couldn't immediately return to the capital, so I had no choice but to stay without receiving the service I'd booked. The parking situation was another issue. On arrival, I was told there weren't enough spaces for all the rooms and that parking was first come, first served. If there was no space, guests might have to park on the street. But when I arrived, there were spaces open, including one that was immediately available. The receptionist wouldn't let me use it, saying it was reserved for a particular guest because of that person's car. Instead, I was told I could leave my car in the parking area with the key available, so other guests could move it when needed, without the hotel accepting responsibility for any damage. That seemed completely inappropriate and below the basic safety and responsibility I'd expect from a lodging business. To protect my property, I parked on the street rather than give other people access or let them move my car without permission. I'm recording my total dissatisfaction and do not recommend this establishment. What was advertised clearly differed from what guests actually received, especially the promised heating and the parking arrangements. The way the team handled things showed disregard for my needs and no real interest in resolving the problems, seriously harming the stay. Future guests should be cautious, especially if they're choosing the place based on the information listed on booking and accommodation platforms.

We were pretty satisfied with our stay in May 2026. The only letdown was that the TV wasn't working well, but it didn't matter much since we'd brought a laptop to watch series. The service was so good that we'd definitely come back. The women in the kitchen were lovely, and Laydson at reception was very friendly and helpful. One sweet touch: I mentioned it was our wedding anniversary and that I'd ordered a cake to be left in the room. They surprised us with a romantic room setup as a courtesy. 🩷
